    Customer Setup Guide

This article guides you through creating and configuring an AWS KMS key. This key will be used by EasySend as part of the Hold Your Own Key (HYOK) functionality, allowing you to maintain full control of your encryption keys. After following the steps, you’ll need to provide EasySend with the Key Management Service (KMS) Amazon Resource Name (ARN).

    Create a New KMS Key

    1. Sign in to your AWS Console

    2. Navigate to AWS Key Management Service (KMS)

    3. Select Customer-managed keys → Create key

    4. Choose Key type: Symmetric

    5. Continue through the creation wizard:

    • Add an alias (e.g., easysend-hyok-key)
    • Set administrators and key users as needed for your organization

    6. Complete the key creation

Update the KMS Key Resource Policy

After the KMS key is created:

    1. Open your newly created key

    2. Select the Key policy tab
